Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery recently discussed the situation involving goaltender Jeremy Swayman as training camp approaches.
And then Bruins HC said he was not involved in contract negotiations and had nothing to do with the contract situation when asked.

Then Jeremy Swayman and the Bruins were able to reach an agreement on a one-year contract through arbitration in 2023. However, following the arbitration hearing, the 25-year-old netminder expressed his dissatisfaction with the entire process, saying it was an experience he “never wanted to go through again.” And despite his disappointment in arbitration, Swayman made it clear he held no negative feelings toward the Bruins organization. Swayman is currently the Bruins’ only restricted free agent.
Bruins President Addresses Jeremy Swayman’s Contract Situation
Boston Bruins president Cam Neely addressed the ongoing negotiations with goaltender Swayman on Thursday. And Neely recognized the impatience of fans who would like to see a resolution sooner rather than later.
However, Neely is confident that both Jeremy Swayman and the club will reach a mutually beneficial agreement soon, he said (via Score): Swayman then posted a 25-10-8 record in 44 games with the Bruins last season, with a 2.53 GAA and a .916 save percentage. With Linus Ullmark joining the Ottawa Senators, the team is hopeful that Swayman can be their starting goalie for the upcoming season.
With training camp set to begin next month, the Bruins are hopeful to have a new contract finalized for Swayman before then. He was selected 111th overall by the Bruins in the 2017 NHL Draft.
