August 29 will remain a dark memory for the Gaudreaus as Johnny and his brother Matthew died in a cycling incident in Salem County. According to sources, the brothers mentioned were knocked by an SUV driver claimed to have been consumed by alcohol during the brothers were in town for Katie’s wedding. Unfortunately, both died of their injuries at the scene.

Last Wednesday, Katie Gaudreau posted an emotional letter in which she addressed her two-year-old niece, Noa. In the warm post, Katie said how dear to the whole family Noa is at the moment when she needs support the most.
Katie said it was the neighbours who had ‘saved’ the family, with Lara specifically stating Noa had brought hope into the home. She also added that she has been very much honored to be part of the family especially that she was given the chance to be Noa’s aunt.
“I hope one day she knows she was the one that saved us. The one we look at and see John… the reason we keep going every day. Thankful to be your aunt but even more thankful I get to tell you all about your daddy and uncle and how amazing they are,” Kaite wrote on her Instagram story.
More recently, Johnny’s widow, Meredith Gaudreau, reposted Katie’s tribute on her Instagram story. Meredith and Johnny had two children: , Noa, who is two-year-old and Johnny, a seven-month-old boy
“She loves you as much as her daddy does. That’s a lotttt Kaitlyn,” Meredith added in the caption.
There may be also another child on the way since the couple was expecting their third child tragically before the incident happened.
